How does it work for the sitters?
Sitter Connectors on college campuses are spreading the word among friends and co-eds and advertising for Sitters Connect LLC socials. Sitters must register online by completing a profile which includes contact information, availability, and interests. Sitters must provide three references as part of their profile. Once parents get acquainted with potential sitters through our social events, Sitters Connect LLC recommends that the parents contact their potential sitters' references.
How does it work for the parents?
Parents register online for the social of their choice. Our price is $75 per parent for an in home "party." Sitters Connect will have at least 7 sitters at the hostesses house for the "party parents" to meet, mingle and interview the sitters. If parents choose the SUMMER SITTERS NOW route, the price is $15 per interview. Parents will be "matched" based on the specific needs the parents have and the skills and availability the sitters have.
What if I am unable to come and I have already paid for the event?
Sitters Connect LLC will refund your money minus a $25 processing fee.
Are there background checks completed on the families or the sitters?
No background checks or reference checks are completed by Sitters Connect LLC. Sitters Connect LLC sets up the "speed sitting" and provides a comfortable place to meet through the home parties. The sitters are required to supply references in their profile; these references will be provided when you choose your three potential sitters. The references are not verified by Sitters Connect LLC. In SUMMER SITTERS NOW and Sitters Connect Socials, both parents and sitters are encouraged to complete background checks of their families and sitters as they deem necessary.
Can I share my information with my friends?
Well, why would you want to do that? Our sitters are speed sitting with you, not your friends. If you give your friends, your sitter, what happens when you need your sitter?!!
What if I want to host a Sitters Connect LLC social?

How much do college-aged sitters get paid?
This is a negotiation between the parent and the sitters. In our experience, college-aged sitters earn somewhere between $9 and $15 per hour depending on the age of the children and the responsibilities of the sitters.
